Bitcoin VS Ethereum, Which One is More Worthy of Investing in the Long Term?
In terms of market capitalization rankings, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the first and second largest cryptocurrency respectively. Have you ever thought that Ethereum might surpass Bitcoin in the future? And which one of them is more worthy of Investing in the long run?
I think this problem should be analyzed from two aspects, the currency and the blockchain technology application.
From the currency point of view, Bitcoin currency is a real monetary system with a fixed total (21 million). While Ethereum (the token is Ether) is not fixed. It can be issued as needed, so there is no upper limit on eth coin. Bitcoin will continue to deflate in the long run, and Ethereum will continue to inflate as the current fiat currency system. Therefore, from the perspective of the cryptocurrency itself, Bitcoin will continue to appreciate, while Ethereum may not (mainly depends on its circulation). But even if Bitcoin can appreciate in the future, it can't appreciate indefinitely. Just like gold, which is a precious metal with a fixed amount. Have you see the gold appreciate infinitely? No!
From a technical point of view, Bitcoin is the most influential blockchain application, it is the pioneer of blockchain. But Bitcoin has formed an inherent ecology, and its application is more limited to the field of cryptocurrency. While Ethereum has introduced a smart contract mechanism to upgrade the blockchain to the 2.0 era, which undoubtedly has a broader application imagination space.
Therefore, from the above two aspects, I personally are more optimistic about the Ethereum value. This is only my personal point of view, and it is based on long-term holdings. If you just want to hold it for a short time, then you have to analyze it at the time.
