1. what is information visualisation?

Data and information visualisation is concerned with showing quantitative and qualitative information, so that a viewer can see patterns, trends oranomalies(异常，不规则), constancy or variation, in ways that other forms-text and tables-do not allow.

2. what is information visualisation?

Data visualization is the graphical display of abstract information for two purposes: sense‐making (also called data analysis)（一般是进行探索活动，比如科研等） and communication (一般有清楚的目的，报告或者演讲).
