We’re lookingfor an Applications Engineer to join the team.

In this role,you’d provide technical and engineering insight and direction to support andimprove usability, applicability, and adoption of products, platforms andsolutions to meet customer business needs.
• You’ddiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues on customerinstallations—plus you’d deploy and train customers on new implementations andcapabilities.• You’dreview and analyze feedback on product and solutions performance from customersand other application partners, working directly with Research and Development(R&D) to develop and implement technical roadmaps, specifications, andvalidation for improvements and enhancements.
• As apartner with customer technical leaders and sales, you’d identify businesschallenges, develop effective technical solutions for new accounts, andincrease utilization and retention of products on current accounts. Enablerelevant and advanced methodologies to meet customer goals; leveraging the bestin class features of Synopsys tools.
Job Description:
Front-endApplication Engineer (AE) is expected to support the sale and adoption ofSynopsys products to help customers achieve tangible and lasting performanceimprovements in the cost, quality, and development time for projects.
Front-end AEs support Synopsys products including synthesis, STA, formalverification and low power solutions, and collaborate with Physical Design AEsand TEST AEs to support the whole RTL-to-GDSII solutions.
In addition, they are expected to articulate design methodologies involvingSynopsys tools and be elevator-talk proficient in the full Synopsys toolportfolio. Their sales support roles include product introductions, demonstrations,evaluations, competitive benchmarking and account planning; Customer support roles includetraining, problem resolution, and technical account management.
Front-end AEs leverage their knowledge by writing SolvNet Articles, and byassisting other AEs. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys productdevelopment teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements. Business travel will be required for this position.
Requirements:
MSEE, or equivalent required with 3+ years of experience, or BSEE or equivalent with 5+years of experience.
Work experiences should include physical aware synthesis, formal verification/equivalence check, STA and timing ECO, and low power design. Experiences in other SoC design activities such as DFT/TEST andphysical design are strongly desired.
Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills aremandatory. Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues & setpriorities and have a helpful/caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position.
