open()返回文件对象，而不是文本。所以你不能只用if some_text in open(f)。您必须阅读文件。
由于您的数据是逐行构建的，因此最简单的解决方案是使用for循环，该循环将迭代文件的各行。

您不能使用if name in line，因为"Ben" in "Benjamin"将是True。你必须检查名称是否相同。
